LARRY

RHEM

Deeply embedded in actor Larry Rhem, is the desire to change many lives along his journey. He has graced screens and stages around the world, always leaving a little more emotion, and at times laughter, than before. Now he is even more focused to help the arts live on, and show others how they can make the most of their passions. Born in Landstuhl, Germany, growing up in Kinston, North Carolina, and spending his teen and adult years in Atlanta, Georgia, his rich cultural background has enabled him to grow as a performer, teacher, and man.

As a child Larry enjoyed writing horror stories that included his classmates. His vivid imagination was always in full force.  He always thought it would be cool to be in a movie or on a television show, but never felt it was an attainable goal. While in college he decided to change his major from business to Mass Media Arts, with a concentration on radio, television, and film. After getting the opportunity to be an extra in Drumline, which was filmed on the campus, he knew that was the path he was meant to take. From that point on things seemed to begin to fall in place. Larry Rhem has been seen in Devious Maids, The Rickey Smiley Show, Being Mary Jane, Let's Stay Together, The Game, Russ Parr's Hear No Evil, and Comeback Dad. He is also recognized as Yung Humma of the well-known group, Turquoise Jeep. Their videos have gained over 20 million views on YouTube, and they have toured all over the United States.

Between scripts and castings, Larry has started teaching acting classes to those in the Atlanta area. There he helps cultivate the skill sets and potential in budding actors, young and old. Being a strong believer in purpose, Larry Rhem feels part of his is to help the next person find their own spot under the big lights. When it comes to any of the actors and actresses he admires, they have one thing in common, totally commitment to their craft. This is something Larry also resonates, and can be seen anytime he performs.

As he builds his legacy he hopes to be remembered as a genuine being, and talent. “I would love for people to look at my work and say I was one of the best to ever do it. I want my friends and family to look back and say I was an amazing son, father, husband, friend, nephew, uncle and brother. Every single role I play in life is vital to me. I want to be known as honest, encouraging, inspiring, and hard working. Most importantly, I want people to say I was definitely led by Jesus,” states Mr. Rhem. There isn’t just one script to follow on the road to success. Larry is writing his very own one, and the world is waiting to see how well it turns out.
